Being a television and film actor for over 2 decades, producing several Television Dramas and few films that achieved the popularity from the Sri Lankan audience as well as from the SriLankans overseas.Cinema is a massive entertainment mode for the human being; but it seems to be, for a certain category in the Sri Lankan society is not provided with this essential requirement. Let’s describe the agony of isolated human category those who are well away from their mental satisfaction. Being a human being aren’t we bound to be conscious about this crucial situation????

Heal & Feel Concept of Sarath Namalgama is a project undertaken with the aim of Providing Mental Satisfaction for Isolated People in Sri Lanka targeting Elders Homes.

As we aware in our country the massive Film Industry and the Business Community seems to be overlooked one important fact.
Prevailing facilities of the modern education system and the foreign employment motivates the younger generation to travel abroad and almost 50% of them never returning to Sri Lanka and ultimately their parents are neglected and moving to Elderly Homes.

On the other hand the Sri Lankan women traveled in Gulf and Middle-East countries for Housemaid and for similar jobs will have to return in 45 years of age perhaps without their prospects in Sri Lankan Homes.

Higher percentage of elders over 50 years and also the female percentage in the island also results the rapidly increasing the number of Elders Homes.

All in all the said particular facts resulting mainly to increase rapidly the number of Elderly Homes in our Country which have only the basic requirements.

Considering the above in one hand this project providing mental satisfaction to the elders in Elderly Homes and on the other hand to conscious the younger generation to look after their parents without being sending them to Elderly Homes .

As we all know these elders are given only with basic requirements like food, clothes and medicine but not provided with mental satisfaction.

With a view to full fill this essential requirement, we have already commenced to screen selected Tele-films at the above places (duration of each film - 3 hrs.) those are already produced at the cost of Rs. 6.0 Million.

This project will be the first ever by any Artiste, Producer or any other Private or Government institution to be made arrangements to facilitate them by providing films; DVD or relevant mental satisfaction to the said isolated people.

This project is spread out in 24 Regions consists of more than 250 villages and well-over 500 identified Elders Homes Island wide and started mid February 2010 with participation of well known TV, Film and Radio Artistes.

Hence, I request you to extend supportive hand for this project, as we have already done film screening in Elderly Homes in Mattegoda, Moratuwa, Piliyandala, Kalubowila, Puliyankulama, Galneva, Rajanganaya, Kala Oya, Galenbidunawewa , Kegalle , Horana, Wellawatha , Panadura , Rajagiriya ,Nelumdeniya, Pannipitiya, Nittambuwa, Wattala, Meerigama, Hendala, Kelaniya, Makola, Welisara, Meegoda, Ja-Ela, Mawanalla, Beruwala, Dehiwala, Maharagama, Attidiya, Borella, Mahawatta, Bataramulla, Dunagaha, Mutwal, Kotugoda, etc
